NQT TERMLY ASSESSMENT FORMS ARE DUE TO BE WITH HCTS ON 3rd JULY 2020.

Forms will continue to be accepted with electronic signatures.  For the time being, they do not need to be signed by the headteacher and sent from his/her mailbox.  Heads, Deputies, Assistant Heads can submit the form from their mailbox providing the Head, Mentor (unless they are also the mentor) and the NQT are copied into the message.

Current DfE arrangements state that ad-hoc absences totalling 30 days or more automatically extends the induction by the aggregate number of days absent.  However, the DfE has laid down regulations which will amend the existing provisions to ensure that any absences due to the Coronavirus outbreak i.e. school closures, sickness or self isolation will not count towards this limit.

If an NQT is off school ill or self-solating, please complete the absence box with the total number of days absence but where possible please indicate how many of these days are due to Coronavirus restrictions.

Please visit the gov.uk website by clicking this link to obtain updated guidance and information from DfE

As always, our aim is to support the NQTs to successfully complete their induction period therefore please do not hesitate to contact either HCTS Admin on NQT@hullteachingschool.org or myself lesley@hullteachingschool.org to discuss any queries.

We aim to be as flexible as possible during this period of uncertainty.

Look after yourselves and of course get in touch if you are unsure how to proceed!
